Dal 2003 Italia ed Europa chiedono alla Libia di fermare i migranti africani. Ma cosa fa realmente la polizia libica? Cosa subiscono migliaia di uomini e donne africane?
Per la prima volta in un film, la voce diretta dei migranti africani sulle brutali modalità con cui la Libia controlla i flussi migratori, su richiesta e grazie ai finanziamenti di Italia ed Europa.

La Sezione Italiana di Amnesty International ha concesso il patrocinio a “Come un uomo sulla terra”, documentario che denuncia il trattamento disumano inflitto ai migranti in Libia e i rapporti e gli accordi tra questo paese e l’Italia, realizzato da Andrea Segre, Dagmawi Yimer e Riccardo Biadene. Dag, studente di giurisprudenza ad Addis Abeba, nel 2005 ha attraversato il deserto tra Sudan e Libia, vivendo sulla sua pelle le violenze dei contrabbandieri che organizzano questi viaggi della speranza e gli abusi della polizia libica.
Dag è riuscito a raggiungere Roma e ha sentito l’esigenza di raccogliere le memorie dei suoi coetanei qua in Italia, facendo loro raccontare di fronte alla telecamera cosa hanno vissuto in quel terribile percorso. Racconti di vite in viaggio, attraverso le voci dei migranti africani sulle brutalità che subiscono in Libia e su come tutto questo sia possibile senza alcuna opposizione da parte dell’Italia e dell’Europa, che chiedono e finanziano il controllo dei flussi migratori. Gli autori e i produttori del film si sono impegnati in una campagna di raccolta di firme per opporsi al Trattato Italia-Libia, che prevede il finanziamento di azioni di contrasto all’immigrazione dalla Libia all’Italia, senza alcuna forma di controllo su come queste azioni saranno realizzate dalle autorità e dalla polizia libiche. http://comeunuomosullaterra.blogspot.com
